HP LoadRunner is an automated performance and test automation product by Hewlett-Packard. This tool tests system behaviour and performance, while simultaneously generating actual load. In November 2006, HP acquired LoadRunner as part of its acquisition of Mercury Interactive. LoadRunner simulates thousands of concurrent users and put the application through the motions of real-life user loads. At the same time, it simultaneously collects information from key infrastructure components. The outcome can then be analyzed in a detailed manner.
